Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a DevOps Environment Architect to lead the development and maintenance of advanced test automation frameworks, cloud environments and CICD tools. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in automation across web, API, and mobile platforms, Environment as a service, with a solid understanding of telecom systems, protocols, and customer-facing applications.
What you will do:
- Leads solution designs, documents architecture and creates high-level design documents
- Proactively provides objective feedback to consultants and development partners to ensure proper execution of projects
- Designs and develops automation solutions for application build and deployment
- Enhances and maintains existing solutions bringing in lessons learnt and best practices
- Architects and maintains scalable test automation frameworks tailored for telecom applications and platforms
- Integrates automation with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (ADO) and supports continuous testing in telecom release cycles
- Applies Git branching strategies to manage test code across multiple telecom product lines and environments
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams including network engineers, OSS/BSS developers, and product managers in an Agile setup
- Conducts tool evaluations and Proof-of-Concepts for automation solutions relevant to telecom systems
- Leverages AI-driven testing approaches to optimize regression coverage and fault detection in complex telecom ecosystems
- Aligns AI-driven automation with business goals like faster release cycles, cost optimization, and customer experience
- Evaluates emerging AI-powered automation tools and platforms
- Evaluates setting up Environment as a service
- Implements frameworks such as Page Object Model, Data-Driven, Keyword-Driven, and BDD to support end-to-end testing of telecom services
- Automates testing for UI, REST/SOAP APIs, and mobile apps (iOS/Android) used in telecom service delivery and customer portals
What you bring:
- Experience with public cloud infrastructure and solution design concepts (Azure and AWS)
- Hands-on experience with Java and/or Python, with proficiency in at least one
- Hands-on experience with Linux commands and scripting (specifically RHEL)
- Working knowledge of Groovy as a pipeline scripting language
- Experience with SCM like GitHub, Bitbucket or GitLab, with knowledge of branching and release concepts
- 5+ years experience with Automation Tools such as Selenium, Playwright, RestAssured, Appium, TestNG, Selenium Grid
- 5+ years DevOps & CI/CD experiences: Azure DevOps (ADO), Jenkins, UrbanCode Deploy
- 2+ years of AI experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Large Language Models, Natural Language Processing, Generative AI
- 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes, API gateways, Databricks
- Cloud Testing Platforms: SauceLabs / LambdaTest / BrowserStack
- Project Management & Collaboration: JIRA, Confluence
- 7+ years programming with Languages: Java (Primary), Python, Basic SQL (Mandatory), C++ (Nice to Have), JavaScript (Nice to Have)
- Scripting: Python, Shell/Batch
- Experience with RPA Tools like UiPath is a plus
- Testing Frameworks: Selenium POM, RestAssured API Testing, BDD, Appium Mobile Automation, Karate (Nice to Have)
- Application Performance Monitoring tools (APM) - Dynatrace or Datadog (Nice to Have)
- Experience with prompt engineering
Preferred Telecom-Specific Experience:
- Familiarity with OSS/BSS systems, network provisioning, and telecom billing platforms
- Experience testing telecom APIs, SIM provisioning, VoIP, or 5G/4G LTE services
- Understanding of telecom protocols (e.g., SIP, Diameter, SS7) is a plus
- Exposure to customer self-service portals, mobile carrier apps, or network management tools
