Overview

Position Description: We are looking for a seasoned DevOps & Atlassian Tools Trainer who combines deep technical expertise with a passion for adult learning. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex, adaptive environments and enjoys empowering cross-functional teams through impactful learning experiences. The trainer will work with participants from diverse technical backgrounds to design and deliver engaging programs that promote best practices and optimize the use of Atlassian tools (such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) and DevOps methodologies. The ideal candidate is a systems thinker, capable of translating technical concepts into accessible learning, and aligning training initiatives with strategic business outcomes.

Your future duties and responsibilities
  • Conduct learning needs assessments for engineers, product managers, and delivery leads.
  • Design modular, experiential learning programs tailored to skill levels and team needs.
  • Deliver training on:
    • Jira, Jira Service Management, Jira Product Discovery
    • Confluence usage and governance
    • Bitbucket and git-flow concepts
    • DevOps principles (CI/CD, observability, automation)
    • Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices
    • Agile delivery and product-centric workflows
  • Facilitate workshops, coaching sessions, and asynchronous learning paths.
  • Collaborate with platform/product teams to align tooling with desired ways of working.
  • Promote feedback loops, metrics, and retrospectives as continuous learning mechanisms.
Required qualifications
  • Proficiency in DevOps tooling and concepts (task management, documentation, source control, branching/versioning, linter, automated testing, secure software development).
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Knowledge of Terraform, Docker, and related tools.
  • Experience designing and delivering adult learning programs (corporate or technical).
  • Strong facilitation skills, both in-person and virtual.
  • Familiarity with instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, etc.).
  • Bilingual in English and French.
  • Systems thinker with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Skilled at linking learning initiatives to strategic business outcomes.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and enabling others to do the same.

Note: Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role requiring interaction with national and global clients.
