Job Summary
The Deputy Chief - Police Operations (North America) is responsible for overseeing CN’s police operations across the entire network. This role provides strategic leadership and direction to the Senior Police Leadership Team, ensuring consistent application of best policing practices. The incumbent helps to protect and promote CN’s people, business and reputation through proactive day-to-day policing activities. Additionally, the role strategizes, develops, and leads initiatives to mitigate security risks to CN and protects customers’ goods, while driving CN to be the safest and most secure railway in North America.
The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. The role requires being available on-call 24/7 to respond to critical incidences. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure and manage stress. The role requires minimal travel (30%) across Canada and the US.
