Overview

Dental office at Finch and Hwy 400 is looking for a Dental Assistant for 9 months starting around Oct 6 for Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Location

Finch/Hwy 400

Hours

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Compensation

$TBD depending on experience and performance

Position/Job Requirements
  • Experienced Level II Dental Assistant
  • Have Dental Assistant Diploma
  • HARP certified
  • Must be able to take good impressions
  • Ideally have 3+ years of experience
Job Overview
  • Assisting dentist during dental procedures by handing instruments and other materials
  • Sterilizing instruments
  • Assisting dentist with crowns, bridges, veneers, some implants Invisalign, fillings, extractions and mouthguards
  • Placement and removal of rubber dams
  • Taking x-rays of patients' teeth and exposing dental diagnostic x-rays
  • Using suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry during procedures
  • Taking preliminary impressions of teeth for study models
  • Applying pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics
  • Questioning patients about their medical history and recording the information for dentist's reference
  • Advising patients on dental care, oral hygiene and plaque control programs
  • Making patients of all ages feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
