Responsibilities
  • Chairside assisting for exams, restorations, extractions (within scope), and urgent visits.
  • Prepare / turnover operatories; sterilization and reprocessing per IPAC standards.
  • Manage supply levels and daily operatory checklists; support equipment readiness.
  • Assist with radiographs, impressions, and documentation; support EMR workflows.
  • Provide calm, compassionate patient support and education.
Qualifications
  • Level II Dental Assistant with NDAEB certification (or provincial equivalent).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IPAC, sterilization, and radiation safety.
  • Strong organization, reliability, and communication skills; EMR familiarity is an asset.
  • Experience in mobile, community, or institutional clinics is an asset.

Contract Type & Schedule

Independent contractor; clinic blocks primarily weekdays / daytime with some evenings / weekends. Background checks and immunization compliance may be required.
