A North American construction company is seeking a Data Governance Specialist in Calgary to establish and implement data governance frameworks. The role involves developing policies in alignment with regulations, collaborating with teams, and ensuring data quality standards are maintained. Candidates should have at least 6 years of data governance experience, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with data management tools. The position allows for hybrid work with remote flexibility while requiring some office attendance.
Reporting to the Senior Business Partner, Data Governance, the Data Governance Specialist will collaborate with the Senior Business Partner, Data Governance to establish and implement a data governance framework. As the Data Governance Specialist, you are responsible for developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with regulations, industry practices, and organizational goals.
In this role you will work closely with Business Intelligence teams and Data owners across the organization’s operating groups to ensure data governance standards and best practices are being applied consistently.
