About GrowCap

GrowCap provides non-dilutive, revenue-based financing to mobile game studios to fund user acquisition. We are based in downtown Toronto.

We’re pre‑seed, closing our first deals, and building the data foundation that powers underwriting, forecasting, and portfolio risk. This is our first technical data hire, you’ll design the system that becomes our moat.

What You’ll Build

Core Data Pipelines

• Ingest data from MMPs (AppsFlyer, Adjust, Singular), app stores (Apple, Google), and ad networks (Meta, Google, TikTok, AppLovin)
• Transform raw data into underwriting signals: cohort LTV, CAC, retention curves, payback periods
• Build decision‑grade dashboards for the underwriting team (Looker)

Fraud Detection & Data Integrity

• Automated checks for UA manipulation, bot traffic, and fake installs
• Cohort red flags: retention cliffs, revenue anomalies, suspicious patterns
• Multi‑source reconciliation to surface inconsistencies across platforms

Infrastructure & Platform

• Data warehouse: BigQuery, Orchestration: Prefect or Airflow, Transformations: dbt
• API integrations (auth, rate limits, retries, failures)
• Monitoring & alerting for portfolio and risk signals

This is a high impact role with meaningful upside. You build it, you own it, you scale it.

What We’re Looking For

Must‑Have:

Production experience building ETL / ELT pipelines. Strong Python + SQL, dbt experience

• Experience with data warehouses (BigQuery or Snowflake), Orchestration experience (Prefect or Airflow)
• Strong API integration fundamentals
• Startup mindset: ship fast, iterate, build around blockers

Nice‑to‑Have

• Mobile gaming, ad tech, or attribution platform experience
• Fintech, lending, or risk / fraud exposure
• dbt, Looker or modern BI tools
