We’re growing, and our Technology Solutions team is looking for a Data Engineer (Microsoft Fabric & AI-Ready Data) to help build a modern, cloud‑first data foundation that powers self‑service analytics today and AI‑driven capabilities tomorrow. This position will be located at our head office in Guelph, Ontario.

Compensation

Starting at $120,000 annually + bonus

Job Summary

The Data Engineer will design and deliver governed enterprise data products that support enterprise reporting/KPIs, Copilot and AI agents. If you love building clean, governed data products and want to shape architecture (not just maintain it)—this role is for you.

What you’ll be doing
  • Designing and building a modern warehouse/lakehouse foundation and reusable data patterns.
  • Integrating data from core enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, operations) into a unified, governed model.
  • Building reliable pipelines (ingestion, transformation, orchestration) with monitoring and observability.
  • Creating curated datasets and Power BI semantic models for consistent KPIs and self‑serve insights.
  • Partnering with business teams to translate real problems into scalable data products.
  • Enabling secure, governed access (RBAC, lineage, Purview concepts)
  • Supporting automation and future AI assistants/agents by making data trustworthy and usable.
Tech you’ll work with

Microsoft Fabric, SQL, Git/CI/CD, Power BI semantic models, enterprise data governance

What we look for
  • 7+ years in data engineering / analytics engineering / enterprise data platforms
  • Strong SQL + solid data modeling (dimensional/star or similar)
  • Experience building modern data platforms and integrating multiple data sources
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric is a strong asset
  • Experience with systems like Salesforce and/or Yardi is an asset
  • Collaborative, organized, patient, and great at translating stakeholder needs into data solutions
