Overview

Role: Data Analyst

Loc: Halifax,NS (Canada) (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

• Gather, document, and translate business and system requirements into functional/technical specifications.
• Perform data analysis, profiling, mapping, and validation to support integration, migration, and reporting needs.
• Document system workflows, data flows, lineage, and dependencies across multiple platforms.
• Partner with developers and architects to ensure solutions align with data architecture and business objectives.
• Support testing, reconciliation, and defect resolution, ensuring high data quality and accuracy.
• Assist in the design of dashboards, metrics, and reports for operational transparency.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of CLM systems and processes through feedback and analysis.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Data Analyst in enterprise environments.
• Strong proficiency in SQL (queries, joins, reconciliation, performance analysis).
• Hands-on experience with data mapping, transformation, and modeling.
• Ability to work with large, complex datasets across multiple systems.
• Solid understanding of system workflows, data dependencies, and integration points.
• Strong documentation skills (BRDs, FRDs, data flow diagrams, process maps, use cases).
• Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis) and/or ElasticSearch is a plus.
• Experience in financial services, client onboarding, or lifecycle management is highly desirable.
