About the Project

Systematix is supporting a major provincial utility organization. The organization is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to support enterprise security initiatives by assessing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity controls, supporting compliance and risk management activities, and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical systems and data.

About the Responsibilities
  • Assess, implement, and maintain cybersecurity controls across enterprise environments
  • Support security architecture, design reviews, and technical risk assessments
  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents
  • Support vulnerability management, remediation planning, and risk tracking
  • Contribute to security policies, standards, procedures, and technical documentation
  • Support compliance with regulatory, audit, and industry security requirements
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and operational technology teams
  • Support security reviews for projects, vendors, and third-party solutions
  • Produce documentation suitable for governance, audit, and regulatory review
Requirements
Must-have
  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles
  • Strong experience with security controls, threat management, and risk assessment
  • Experience supporting enterprise IT environments
  • Experience working in structured or regulated environments
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work onsite in Regina, Saskatchewan
Nice-to-have
  • Experience in utilities, Crown corporations, or public-sector environments
  • Experience supporting operational technology (OT) or industrial control systems (ICS)
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
  • Experience supporting audits, compliance, or regulatory assessments
  • Experience working with vendors or third-party service providers
About the Role

Location: Onsite – Regina, Saskatchewan
Planned Start Date: 02/17/2026
Planned End Date: 08/31/2027
Guaranteed Utilization: 100%
Work Hours: Standard business hours (37.5 hours/week)

Pay Disclosure

Intermediate (6–9 years): $85–105/hr
Senior (10+ years): $105–125/hr

Compensation is commensurate with experience, skills, and market conditions.
