Overview

Layfield Flexible Films in Richmond BC is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to work with a team of CSRs and internal sales representatives. You possess excellent interpersonal skills and can track the customer experience to maintain orders utilizing a spreadsheet system.

As the CSR, you will seek solutions from internal sources to ensure projects and orders meet customer expectations. You thrive in an environment of changing priorities in a highly technical industry specializing in flexible films packaging solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Customer & Sales Support : (70%) Main internal point of contact for assigned Account Managers & Sales Representatives, and Sales Agents. Manage a customers experience through communication with the assigned salesperson and direct contact with the customer. Track and advise delivery as per production schedules and follow up on committed delivery dates through communication with internal resources.
  • Customer Inquiries or Web inquiry support : (15%) Coordinate multi-departmental telephone & reception responsibilities with CSR team. Deal with clientele in a technically competent and courteous manner.
  • Supply Chain Support : (15%) Review and maintain inventory records for assigned products and / or programs. Provide information to Purchasing Dept. for raw material orders. Maintain sample inventory levels and send samples as directed.
Education & Experience

Completion of related post-secondary education in Business / Sales or a combination of education and experience will be considered.

One to two years of Customer Service experience working directly with customer inquiries.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Core Competencies : Focus on discovering customer needs and how to meet those needs. Match customer requirements to existing products and services and / or designs. Take personal responsibility for continuously raising the standard of customer service.

Minimum Qualifications : Driven, self-starter with superb interpersonal skills. Independent but able to work well within a team environment. High degree of competence in written and oral communication. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, permanent Monday to Friday position based in Richmond BC.

The salary range for this position is $55, $65, with an additional variable pay component, extended health benefits, employer matched RRSP plan and 3 weeks vacation.
