Job summary

Instructors are responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, instructional and fun dance classes in preschool dance, ballet, hip hop and jazz. Dance classes in Delta are popular and offered weekday mornings, after school/evenings and weekends. Included in this role will be leading dance-themed birthday parties for children.

• Lead dance-themed birthday parties for children.
• Deliver classes in accordance with program schedules (weekday mornings, after school/evenings, weekends).

Qualifications and Skills

• Formal training in dance (hip hop, ballet, jazz, and/or other styles).
• Experience teaching dance classes to children, especially ages 3-9; class management skills are necessary.

Compensation

The City of Delta provides a competitive salary of $31.00 per hour + 12% in lieu of vacation, public holidays and benefits.
