We're seeking a passionate Culinary Operations Manager. This is a dynamic, field-based role that will require daily travel to stores primarily across the GTA, where you'll act as a Subject Matter Expert, conduct performance analysis, and partner with store leadership to implement action plans.

Accountabilities
  • Build sales and profitability within HMR by delivering excellence through new programs & rollouts
  • Scheduling & training of programs to ensure programs are implemented according to accurate standards
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all HMR programs
  • Conduct store visits and analyze department performance, develop action plans to address any gaps in performance or procedure. Partner with Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers on improving the performance of the store
  • Provide recommendations on recipes and trends to help build the customer experience
  • Work closely with all partners to champion an environment of continuous improvement and standard process sharing with a focus on improving customer experience
  • Ensure department adherence to company policies/procedures and consistent execution of format process and strategy with all food safety requirements in mind
  • Support store teams on action planning and follow up on prior feedback/action plans to ensure continuous program improvement
  • Partner and communicate new HMR programs to the Customer Experience Specialist (CES)
  • Provide partners with postmortems from events, seasonal programs, and BU initiatives to ensure key findings are collected and improvements are made for future initiatives.
Role Requirements
  • Must have culinary and retail food service experience
  • Expertise in food safety, preparation and servicing
  • Effective communication skills with a passion for training and development
  • The ability to facilitate, coach, train, assess, motivate, and evaluate employees in both a group as well as an individual setting
  • Retail leadership & management experience
  • Excellent problem solving, communication, organizational, facilitation, presentation, project management and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of running multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong change management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound judgments and decisions
  • Ability to adapt positively to a changing environment and shifting priorities
  • Dedicated team player with self-discipline and motivation to work independently
  • Strong diagnostic analytical skills (Root cause analysis)
  • Daily travel to stores required within region
