Credit Strategies Analyst / Associate, Global Product Strategy

TEAM OVERVIEW

The Credit Strategies Team, which is part of KKR’s Global Product team, works with the firm’s credit investment platform to provide ongoing fundraising and client support. The team is involved in all aspects of fundraising, marketing and structuring commingled funds and institutional separately managed accounts (“SMAs”), as well as maintaining an ongoing dialogue with clients and limited partners (“LPs”). The team collaborates with investment professionals and deal teams to understand the current portfolio, deal pipeline and overall market dynamics, and helps communicate these investment insights to LPs as well as to other internal stakeholders. The team participates in fundraising activities and is also responsible for the diligence process, where the volume and cadence of client requests can be quite heavy and time sensitive. Other ad-hoc tasks for the Credit Strategies team include creating quarterly presentations, consistently updating marketing materials, and drafting thought-leadership pieces to communicate complex and nuanced topics to a wide range of audiences.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Credit Strategies Team at KKR is looking for an Analyst / Associate to be based in San Francisco. This hire will work exclusively with the firm’s public credit platform on a range of activities including assisting with the development and product support of new funds, supporting marketing / fundraising activities and investor relations. The successful candidate will focus on our leveraged credit products in particular and will be a high-profile member of the team with both internal and external constituents as a source of information and insight about the firm, our product offerings, and the public credit markets.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

Qualified candidates have spent 1-3 years as an Analyst or Associate at an asset manager, investment bank, private funds / private placements firm, or in another credit / finance-related role. Ideal candidates have been in a group that offers exposure to credit products and analysis. Candidates must be team-oriented with strong analytical backgrounds, outstanding oral and written communication skills, maturity, presence, and sound judgment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with senior team members on structuring, raising, and maintaining funds and separate accounts (“SMAs”)
  • Maintain an open dialogue with investors, and provide ongoing LP and Investor support
  • Work closely with Investment professionals and deal teams to understand the current portfolio, deal pipeline, and overall market dynamics, as well as to create and disseminate asset class and portfolio insights
  • Sales professionals to pursue new business opportunities and investor relations globally as well as support ongoing fundraising efforts
  • Finance / Operations professionals for ongoing fund reporting and communications
  • Legal team and external counsel to prepare legal documents, including PPMs, Prospectus, LPAs, subscription documents
  • Technology and engineering team on data management and LP reporting
  • Create and update marketing materials, quarterly presentations, and draft investor letters
  • Heavily involved in the investor diligence process

Base Salary Range

120,000 - $165,000 USD
