Counterbalance Forklift Operator - $25.5/hr

We are actively seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our client's team in Shelburne, ON. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $25.5 per hour, with opportunities for overtime. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, conducting routine inspections, and collaborating with team members to meet operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to move materials within the manufacturing facility.
• Load and unload trucks, stack and unstack pallets and perform other material handling tasks as required.
• Conduct routine inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance issues.
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Collaborate with warehouse team members to achieve operational goals.
• Ability to work overtime when needed to support our customer's needs.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of forklift experience (Counterbalance and Walkie)
• Ability to provide two employment references that can attest to your safe equipment operation.
• 1-year minimum experience operating a counterbalance forklift/powered walkie in a warehouse setting.
• 1-year minimum experience loading and offloading trailers using a forklift
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Must have reliable transportation to work at different work sites as/if needed.
• Must have a clear criminal background, and consent to completing a background check.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
