Job summary

A community health service provider in Ontario seeks a Counsellor II to provide support to First Nations children and youth facing developmental challenges. This full-time position involves working with a multidisciplinary team, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions. Ideal candidates will have relevant degrees, registration with a professional counselling college, and experience with high-risk clients. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills are essential to this role which requires regular travel to remote communities.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 2 years’ clinical experience with children and families.
  • Registration with a recognized professional counselling college.
  • Experience with high-risk clients and mental health services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide counselling and support to First Nations communities.
  • Develop treatment plans and evaluate client progress.
  • Lead group sessions and participate in supervision meetings.
