Job description

CGI is currently seeking a self‑motivated, intellectually curious finance professional with a strong work ethic to join our in‑house Corporate Finance team supporting CGI’s Global Internal Corporate Functions. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis for a designated group of internal stakeholders; exposure to multiple business units and collaboration with corporate and operational teams.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare annual, quarterly and monthly forecasts for the Corporate EVP group.
  • Deliver accurate, insightful and timely analysis of financial results against plans, forecasts and budgets.
  • Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
  • Provide financial insights and solutions to operations based on analytical findings.
  • Present analysis clearly and concisely to allow quick understanding of results and recommendations.
  • Analyze balance sheet entries to ensure balance sheet integrity.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of performance‑management tools.
  • Support the implementation of continuous‑improvement initiatives and drive efficiency.
  • Complete ad‑hoc reports/analysis as necessary.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA or CPA‑in‑progress considered an asset.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a similar business‑partner financial analyst role.
  • Proactive attitude with regards to gathering and verifying financial information.
  • Action‑oriented, proactive with a high level of accountability for delivering quality work.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial information.
  • Excellent computer skills with MS Office software, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience working with industry software such as PeopleSoft or Hyperion (Oracle) considered a valuable asset.
