Overview

Pacific X-Ray & Coring Ltd. (A division of KERN BSG Management Ltd.) is looking to expand its team with an experienced Coring and Scanning Technician.

The Coring and Scanning Technician is responsible for operating a variety of coring equipment while also performing general labor duties in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to handle a flexible schedule. Most shifts will be daytime Monday to Friday; however, you will be expected to work evenings, nights, and weekends occasionally
  • Visiting various work sites (will be required to work in all weather conditions), as well as work in finished commercial and residential spaces
  • Reading and interpreting site plans, construction print data and maps to assist in location of embedded reinforcements & utilities
  • Locating and marking reinforcements & utilities with a range of tools including Ground Penetrating radar and X-Ray
  • Providing digital drawings and detailed reports to clients, as well as communicating important structural, and utility findings with clients
  • Adhering to our strict Health and Safety protocols.
On your resume, we will be looking for the following
  • Valid class 5 BC driver\'s license as required for use of company vehicle
  • Previous construction or trade experience.
  • Previous experience working with GPR, or X-ray is an asset.
  • Strong computer literacy, including expertise in AutoCAD, Hilti Profits, and Sage is an asset
  • Interpreting technical marks in concrete slabs to make holes and openings within concrete structures
  • Site preparation, maintenance, and clean-up
  • Equipment set up and maintenance
  • Ability to build rapport, and long-lasting relationships. (Good customer service is required)
