Job summary

A leading Canadian audiovisual organization is seeking an HR Coordinator to support HR initiatives. This role involves advising on policies, assisting with training, and contributing to recruitment activities. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources and is bilingual in French and English. The position is based in Toronto and requires in-office presence at least twice a week.

Qualifications

SPECIFIC TERM, UNTIL MARCH 2026

YOUR ROLE

Reporting to the Director, Talent and Culture, the HR Coordinator will collaborate with the Human Resources team to ensure smooth operations and support various HR initiatives and projects.

  • Advise managers and staff on HR policies and support managers in applying internal policies.
  • Assist HR advisors with tasks related to continuous learning, training plans, onboarding, and integration strategies for new staff.
  • Contribute to recruitment activities, including posting jobs internally and externally, conducting telephone interviews, and performing pre-employment checks (reference, credit, background checks, language tests, and setting up new staff in the HR management system).
  • Support HRIS support requests from staff and managers.
  • Collaborate on project plans to monitor and manage HR projects, contributing to their completion in partnership with the HR team.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Membership in the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines (asset).
  • Knowledge of Ceridian's Dayforce HRIS software (asset).
  • Experience managing OHS files (asset).
  • Proficiency in French and English; CBC non-imperative level as per Language requirements for candidates - Canada.ca.
