Position Title: People & Culture M&T Specialist
Line of Business: People & Culture
Duration: 7 months (Possibility of Extension)
Location: REMOTE [initial training to be done on site as well as periodic in office days - Downtown Toronto]
Role Mandate
Performs testing of controls (design and/or operating effectiveness) in accordance with the bank's methodology, as part of People & Culture’s central testing utility
Role Responsibilities
- Initial analysis of controls for conformance to methodology
- Review of preliminary supporting materials
- Completion of testing template documentation
- Leading/attending kick-off and closing meetings
- Gathering and reviewing evidence, assessing sufficiency
- May consult with stakeholders to improve consistency and transparency of control measurement/metrics and reporting.
- May provide advice and guidance on the implementation of the control framework overall.
- May participate in the execution of oversight/governance activities including reporting, policy and procedure updates.
- May participate in other risk or compliance activities
Must-Have Skills
- Control testing experience is essential 3+ years
- Candidate must be able to work collaboratively with a team, as well as independently
- Able to take broad direction and self determine, and delegate as necessary.
- Ability to pivot in a fast paced environment
- Strong communications skills [verbal and written]
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders of various seniority
- Ability to translate granular level testing into compelling and high level storytelling
- Influence skills - In-depth.
- Collaboration & team skills.
Nice to Have Skills
- Previous experience with HR [only as a background, candidate profile should not focus on HR experience]
- Testing experience at a financial institution.
