What you can expect to do here:
  • Monitor and challenge financial and operational performance across assigned regions
  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and variance analyses
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and business plans
  • Provide leadership to a team of project accountants and assistant controllers
  • Actively participate in major project reviews. Ensure proper financial support for EAC’s and assist in developing mitigation plans
  • Continuously improve and streamline financial processes and systems
  • Present financial results to senior leadership and participate in strategic reviews
  • Collaborate with operations to optimise project execution and financial predictability
  • Manage Work in Progress (WIP) and Accounts Receivable, driving collection efforts
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal control standards (e.g., 52-109)
  • Partner with internal and external auditors
  • Share best practices across the E&E finance community
What you’ll bring to WSP:
  • CPA designation (CMA, CA, CGA)
  • 10+ years of experience in senior financial roles, ideally in professional services
  • Proven leadership of large teams across multiple regions
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
  • Autonomous, collaborative with strong communication andinterpersonal skills
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, BST, Vision, etc.)
  • Bilingual (English and French) is an asset
