Job summary

A leading analytical testing services company in Ottawa is seeking a Laboratory LIMS Assistant to manage and maintain their Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The ideal candidate will help ensure accurate and efficient data handling, support laboratory workflows, and collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams. Responsibilities include creating analytical packages, maintaining client information, and assisting with LIMS training. This temporary position lasts until December 2026.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Knowledge of LIMS or other data management software considered an asset.
• The ideal candidate is tech-savvy and preferably has experience in LIMS and/or chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update LIMS configurations.
• Create and maintain analytical packages and custom test lists.
• Add, update, and manage regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain client cards and account details.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to implement updates.
• Assist in training users on LIMS functionality.
• Work with IT to ensure seamless integration of LIMS.
• Participate in system validation and documentation.
