As a Content Development Specialist, you will work closely with the Technical Delivery Managers, engineers and domain experts across business units, and the core Manulife University team to ensure high-quality, engaging, and impactful technical content is crafted, maintained, and continuously improved. You’ll support the full content lifecycle—from conceptualization to post-publication success metrics—while fostering a strong community of practice around knowledge sharing.

Position Responsibilities
  • Design and develop engaging, high-quality technical learning experiences using approved tools (PowerPoint, Articulate360 suite, Synthesia, Edcast suite, Clipchamp, MS Forms)
  • Simplify complex technical concepts into accessible, learner-friendly formats.
  • Ensure content quality, consistency, and alignment with Manulife University standards.
  • Coach and support content creators on instructional design, storytelling, and tool usage.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and collaborators to align learning strategies with business goals.
  • Review and validate content for technical accuracy and platform compatibility.
  • Facilitate seamless collaboration between content creators and platform teams.
  • Manage post-publication activities including feedback, content freshness, and performance metrics.
  • Continuously improve content frameworks and user experience.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing across technical teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years+ related engineering or software delivery experience with expectation that you are a hands‑on practitioner.
  • Previous experience in technical content creation is required with a passion for learning, teaching, and helping others grow.
  • Experience with Synthesia, Confluence and Articulate is a strong asset.
  • Strong storytelling, instructional design, or technical writing skills.
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical topics clearly and effectively to broad range of users (with or without a technical background).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment with a high degree of autonomy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in developer advocacy, technical education, or enablement roles.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern software development practices.
