Job description
What You'll Do
  • Assist with the preparation and organization of construction sites, ensuring all materials and tools are readily available.
  • Support skilled tradespeople in their tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Assist electricians with wire pulling, mounting boxes, conduits, and fixtures.
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolds, ladders, and temporary platforms.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials as required.
  • Remove rubble and debris; clean and maintain work areas.
  • Maintain tools, materials, and equipment in good condition.
Basic Qualifications
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor for extended periods.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take directions from experienced professionals.
Work Conditions
  • Standing for long periods, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • May require travel between job sites within the GTA.
  • Work under pressure and in varying outdoor conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • +3 years of previous experience in construction.
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools used in construction work.
  • Understanding of safety practices within the construction industry.
  • Working-at-Heights Training (company-paid if not held).
  • WHMIS Certificate (company-paid if not held).
