Job Description

Project Management & Execution
  • Manage and coordinate all phases of wastewater treatment plant construction projects, from planning and scheduling to commissioning and closeout.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day activities of subcontractors, site teams, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Act as a key liaison with clients, engineers, and public agencies, maintaining clear communication and strong working relationships.
Budgeting & Cost Control
  • Assist in developing and maintaining project budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor expenditures and track cost performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify potential cost risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Scheduling & Planning
  • Prepare and update detailed project schedules using CPM methodologies.
  • Track progress against milestones and adjust plans to meet deadlines.
  • Coordinate resources to ensure timely delivery of project components.
Contract Administration
  • Support contract review and administration with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project specifications.
  • Assist in managing change orders and scope adjustments.
Quality & Safety
  • Implement company safety standards and promote a safe work environment on site.
  • Ensure adherence to QA/QC programs, technical standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance and quality.
Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
  • Participate in progress meetings and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Foster a collaborative and accountable team culture.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager of Construction should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (required).
  • 7-10+ years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years focused on wastewater or water treatment facilities.
  • Experience managing Project Managers across multiple projects.
  • Experience in managing projects valued at $100M+.
  • Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary construction teams and subcontractors.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and regulatory requirements specific to wastewater treatment.
  • Proficiency with scheduling (Primavera P6), project management software (Procore, CMiC, etc.), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • PMP or CCM certification (preferred).
