Overview

Construction Manager – Water Treatment. Harbinger Network is partnering with a leading construction firm specializing in the delivery of innovative, large-scale projects across commercial, institutional, industrial, and civil sectors. Seeking a Construction Manager experienced in the delivery of water or wastewater construction projects to oversee on-site operations, ensure high-quality execution, and drive project safety and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise all on-site construction activities for water and wastewater treatment projects, ensuring work is executed according to schedule, budget, and design specifications.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and direct subcontractors, trades, and site personnel, maintaining productive and safe work environments.
  • Implement and enforce site-specific safety plans, performing daily safety inspections and promoting a proactive safety culture.
  • Oversee site logistics, including equipment, materials, and resource allocation to maximize site efficiency.
  • Conduct regular site meetings, provide daily progress reports, and communicate consistently with project managers and stakeholders regarding site operations and issues.
  • Inspect all completed work for compliance with quality standards and contract requirements, facilitating prompt issue resolution.
  • Ensure all regulatory, environmental, and permitting requirements are met throughout each project phase.
  • Mentor and support on-site teams, ensuring training on procedures, tools, and safety practices.
  • Assist in project planning, start-up, execution, and close-out activities as required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in construction management of civil or mechanical construction projects, with at least 3 years in water and/or wastewater treatment plant settings.
  • Strong knowledge of water/wastewater treatment construction practices, codes, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with proven experience managing diverse teams and subcontractors.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and contracts.
  • Proven commitment to site safety, environmental stewardship, and quality management.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, and proficiency with construction project documentation and reporting.
  • Certification in construction safety (e.g., COR, Gold Seal, or equivalent) and valid driver’s license preferred.
