Job Description Summary: Lead and coordinate compliance related projects for World Financial Group Insurance Agency of Canada Inc. (Life & Health Insurance Agency) and WFG Securities Inc. (Mutual Fund Dealer).

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage compliance-related projects across World Financial Group (WFG) Canada, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to implement compliance initiatives, including policy updates, regulatory changes, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and documentation to ensure timely and effective execution of compliance programs.
  • Conduct compliance testing and monitoring to assess adherence to regulatory standards and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Risk, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective risk mitigation.
  • Track and report project progress to senior compliance leadership, highlighting key milestones, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Support regulatory audits and examinations by preparing documentation and coordinating responses.
  • Stay current with evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices, proactively integrating them into project planning and execution.
  • Support the development of training materials and awareness programs to promote a culture of compliance across the organization.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in business, accounting, marketing, pre-law or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Five years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs within mutual fund or life insurance distribution channels
  • Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian insurance and mutual fund regulatory frameworks (e.g. provincial insurance regulators, CIRO)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Results driven and customer focused
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in French
  • Project management certification

The Salary for this position generally ranges between $90,000-$100,000 CAD annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
