The Compensation Consulting practice is composed of a dedicated group of nation‑wide professionals with extensive experience in the field of compensation. We specialize in providing strategic guidance and expert analysis to our clients when developing competitive, equitable compensation strategies aligned with their organizational goals. Keeping in mind various stakeholders' interests such as employees, management, board members, and unions, we help organizations attract, retain, and motivate employees while maintaining financial sustainability and legal compliance. Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together

As a Compensation Consultant within our consulting practice, you will bring your leadership and knowledge of compensation trends and practices to provide strategic consulting to our clients. Your understanding of broad‑based and executive compensation, total rewards, and pay equity will reinforce the design, review and implementation of compensation programs that support our clients business and compensation policies. You are an analytical thinker and possess meticulous attention to detail, in addition to your expertise in client management and delivering insights derived from complex data all the while helping junior team members.

Here’s how

Manage mid‑complexity projects ensuring timely delivery and adherence to fees

Serve as a primary client contact, conducting client interviews, facilitating focus groups, delivering training, and maintaining ongoing client relationships

Develop and review PowerPoint presentations, Excel exhibits, and initial data conclusions for client reports while working closely with Principals / Leaders to determine client recommendations

Participate in the presentation of recommendations to senior leadership teams and board members as required

Develop new tools and templates for multiple markets

Write project proposals and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs)

Participate in business development activities such as webinars and presentations

Support junior staff when needed

Support client from all of the Canadian provinces

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle…

Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Human Resources, Actuarial Science or Accounting

3-5 years in a compensation role; ideally 2 years in a consulting role

Business acumen : having robust market awareness of compensation trends in various industries targeting different employee profiles

Data expertise : aptitude and familiarity with various sources of compensation data, including published surveys

Ability to navigate in diverse client environment

Collaboration and communication skills : being a team member that others actively seek out to partner with, who is clear, concise, and influential in all mediums of communication

Comfort with working in dynamic environments

Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and intermediate proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint

  • Hold or working towards your CPHR / CRHA designation or equivalent
