A leading home care service in Sault Ste. Marie is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to assist community and long-term care clients. The ideal candidate must have current CNO registration, a valid First Aid/CPR certificate, and at least 2 years of experience. This role involves assessments, medication support, and communication with families. The position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits after 3 months of employment. Qualifications

  • Provide medication support and administration.
  • Complete reports and document care notes.
  • Communicate with family about changes in client care.
  • Meet the standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario.

The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Conduct assessments and reassessment
  • Utilize medical technology and equipment such as g-tube, ventilator, and trach
  • Provide medication support and administration
  • Complete reports and document and care notes regularly
  • Communicate with family and supervisors about any changes in client care
  • Meet the Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario at all times
  • All other duties, as assigned

Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • Current CNO (College of Nurses of Ontario) registration and in good standing
  • Valid First Aid/CPR certificate
  • Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 6 months
  • Experience with pediatric g-tube, ventilator, and trach is an asset
  • Must have a current license and reliable vehicle
