A regional health authority in Penticton is seeking Casual Community Mental Health Workers to join their team. This role involves providing support within a psychosocial rehabilitation framework for individuals with severe mental illnesses and substance use disorders. Responsibilities include assisting clients with daily living skills and facilitating their development in various areas such as budgeting and personal care. Applicants must have relevant qualifications and knowledge to effectively engage with a diverse client population.
We are currently hiring casual Community Mental Health (MH) Workers 1 to join our MH team at the Penticton Health Centre.
The Community Mental Health Worker provides services within a psychosocial rehabilitation and harm reduction framework for the assigned client population(s) with severe mental illnesses and/or substance use disorders.
This position works with the assigned client population(s) in developing, maintaining, or restoring daily living skills, and participates in activities to support skill development such as training, modeling and support in the following areas:
Shifts types are days and shift times are from 08:30 to 16:30 hours. This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements can vary from 0 - 37.5 hours per week.
