Overview

Join to apply for the Community Kinesiologist role at CBI Health. This is a community-based role with travel around the Victoria, BC area. Full time and part time available.

As a flexible, enthusiastic and personable team player focused on client-centred care and clinical outcomes, you will work in a values-based, collaborative environment to grow your practice and develop your clinical skills.

Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for the provision of one-on-one exercise prescription
  • Complete functional assessments
  • Work with client profiles ranging from orthopedic injuries and chronic pain to cognitive and/or mood-related concerns
  • Design and implement a therapeutic exercise program to meet identified client needs
  • Prepare progress and discharge reports delegated by the treating clinician
  • Assist the treating clinician with return-to-work planning
What you’ll need to be successful
  • Have an undergraduate degree in kinesiology or human kinetics
  • Registered / in the process of registering with BCAK
  • Have excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Be seeking a challenging opportunity to continue to build a growing practice
  • Be comfortable working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Be comfortable working with mental health and chronic pain clients
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Be empathetic with an effective ability to build rapport with patients
  • Demonstrate an understanding of medical conditions, disability management, and appropriate exercise prescription and progression
  • Have a reliable vehicle for use with appropriate insurance

Hourly Rate Range : $21.00 - $35.00
