Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers warmly as they enter the store; address customer inquiries and assist with locating products; handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
  • Checkout Process: Scan items quickly and accurately; process various forms of payment (cash, credit/debit cards, gift cards); process returned items; provide receipts and any necessary change; offer assistance with loyalty programs or coupons; maintain an accurate cash drawer.
  • Cash Management: Perform cash drops and prepare cash deposits as required; balance the cash register at the end of the shift.
  • Cleanliness And Safety: Keep the checkout area clean and organized; follow store policies and procedures to ensure safety and security; report any spills, hazards, or equipment issues to management.
  • Collaboration: Work with other team members to ensure store operations run smoothly; communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments; assist team members with put aways/returns.
