Summit Search Group is proud to partner with our Calgary based client focused on the development of energy distribution terminals in North America.

They are actively looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Commercial Manager based in Calgary, Alberta reporting to the Vice President.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing supplier and customer relations
  • Identifying and developing new opportunities for business growth with producers and refineries
  • Analysing strategies, studying marketplace, developing, and executing sales and commercial strategies
  • Conducting market research and analysis
  • Ensuring and developing a clear understanding of the customer’s structure, needs and decision-making processes
  • Negotiating new contracts - fuel supply and fuel sales
  • Directing the planning and preparation of business proposals and managing internal/external risks and liabilities with respect to customer accounts
  • Developing models for supply, logistics, pricing, and sales
  • Building/developing/managing relationships with Indigenous Communities
  • Collaborating/communicating with other members of the organization - up, down and across divisions

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of seven years demonstrated success in the Oil and Gas industry sector preferably in midstream delivery
  • A bachelor’s degree in business or related preferred
  • Experience as an Oil and Gas trader or price analyst is a definite asset
  • Well networked within the Canadian Oil and Gas marketplace
  • Previous experience in Oil and Gas Supply Chain including transport by rail or marine an asset
  • Driven, self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to negotiate and deliver complex agreements
  • Previous experience working with Indigenous communities an asset

Remuneration

Remuneration for this position will consist of a base salary of $160-180K+ commensurate upon experience, bonus program, expenses, and company benefits.
