After more than 30 years in the industry, we’ve built a strong reputation for quality craftsmanship and practical design. As we continue to grow in both Canada and the U.S., we’re adding people who enjoy solving problems, working with technical details, and being part of a collaborative team.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Commercial Development Manager to lead the expansion of Suncoast’s commercial work. In this role, you’ll identify new opportunities, build relationships with architects, designers, builders, and developers, and guide commercial projects from early concept through handoff to production.

You’ll support clients through early design decisions, frame project requirements, and work closely with drafting, engineering, and production. If you enjoy relationship‑building, problem‑solving, and helping shape unique projects, you’ll find this role rewarding.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and manage Suncoast’s commercial project pipeline.
  • Build relationships with architects, designers, builders, and developers.
  • Lead early client conversations, scope development, and project framing.
  • Review design concepts, drawings, and technical details at a high level.
  • Oversee quoting, proposals, timelines, and coordination across teams.
  • Partner with internal leaders to ensure projects move smoothly from concept to build.
  • Represent Suncoast at industry events and outreach opportunities.
  • Report on commercial pipeline and project status to leadership.
What You’ll Bring
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Experience in commercial development, business development, construction, project coordination, or a related field.
  • Ability to understand drawings, dimensions, materials, and technical concepts.
  • Comfort guiding clients through early design conversations.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • A practical, solutions‑focused approach when navigating commercial challenges.
  • Experience working with CRM or project management software is an asset.
Why Join Us
  • Competitive salary and bonus structure, paid time off, and a Health Spending Account.
  • Work on high‑impact, design‑driven commercial projects across North America.
  • Join a supportive, collaborative team that values new ideas.
  • Opportunity to grow your role as our commercial division expands.
Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel for site visits, client meetings, or industry events.
  • Experience in construction, architectural products, or engineered materials is an asset.
