Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial insurance.
  • RIBO licensed is required.
  • Exposure to Epic is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Commercial Insurance Account Executive.
  • Provide prompt service to customers.
  • Process all incoming commercial paperwork.
  • Assist with quotes and review existing coverage.
  • Prepare documentation for insurers.
  • Communicate with insurance companies and negotiate.

What the Role Entails:

  1. Provide assistance to the Commercial Insurance Account Executive
  2. Offer prompt service to customers by providing advice, helping them understand insurance, and discussing concerns
  3. Receive and process all incoming commercial paperwork
  4. Assist with quotes, review existing coverage, and update customer files
  5. Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications for new clients, and issue insurance certificates
  6. Process endorsements, invoices, and follow up on payments
  7. Communicate with insurance companies, negotiate with underwriters, renew terms, and follow up on claims with adjusters
  8. Source and gather additional information requested by underwriters and complete applications

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • High School diploma and/or post-secondary education
  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial insurance
  • RIBO licensed
  • Exposure to Epic is an asset
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
