Overview

Bilingual Late Stage Collector, Contract

The Late-Stage Collector is responsible to collect on past due accounts and to ensure that the Team’s monthly targets and objectives are achieved. This role negotiates repayment terms for delinquent accounts and provides daily contact with our client base via outgoing and incoming calls and correspondence. General inquiries also represent a large portion of this position.

Day to Day
  1. Accountable for collection of designated delinquent accounts by conducting the following tasks via telephone and written correspondence: contact delinquent customers, apply standard collection techniques, meet standard collection activity measurements, maintain accurate paper and electronic customer files, interact with dealers and cross-functional teams to resolve collection issues, use existing technology to identify delinquent accounts, provide buyout, payout and trade-up quotes to customers/vendors, make decisions within established guidelines and policies, reconcile accounts independently or at the request of customers; refer to the legal department when appropriate.
  2. Responsible for the timely remittance of payments via paperwork: send letters, replacement invoices and necessary correspondence; provide Lease Administration Department with correct paperwork (e.g., Papp info, adjustment forms, terminations).
  3. Coordinate transferring files to or from the Legal Compliance Department: prepare paperwork for equipment returns and refer to Asset Management; compile an Account Summary and recommendation for the Legal Compliance Department.
  4. Support Collection Management team with cross-functional team training.

  • Bilingualism (French / English) is an Asset
  • Experience in the leasing industry preferred
  • Proficient in MS – Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
  • Knowledge and understanding of collections operations: bailiff, resellers, fraud detection, PPSA, compliance, bankruptcy
  • Experience resolving and working through escalated and complex customer issues
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with ability to prioritize work effectively

Applicable Pay Range

52,323 - $78,484

DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in the desired primary work location. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.

This position is subject to the terms of DLL’s compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, pension plan, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are subject to eligibility.
