Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and respond to customer inquiries submitted by email regarding claims initiations and general coverage questions.
  • Provide best-in-class service experience to all customers – internal and external.
  • Respond to email and phone inquiries from contract holders, dealerships, and repair facilities.
  • Build claims in our Claims portal based on submitted emails, upload pictures or invoices, and notify adjusters of actions taken.
  • Prepare claims for review by an Adjuster for approval.
  • Provide insights into possible department and product enhancements.
  • Seek opportunities for process improvements.
  • Assist in building SOPs based on process improvements.
  • Participate in various projects as required by management.
  • Manage case load for prompt follow-ups on pending claims.
  • Stay current on new products.
  • Liaise with multiple departments to ensure customer and dealer satisfaction.
  • Perform any other duties deemed appropriate by the Claims Manager.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 2 years in a customer service environment or equivalent experience.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently within given parameters with minimal oversight.
  • Typing speed of at least 25-30 WPM.
  • Familiarity with web-based programs and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Positive attitude and strong collaboration skills.
  • Availability to work from 9 am PST to 5 pm PST.
  • Completion of Automotive Technician certification course or equivalent experience in the automotive field.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge (preferred).
