Key Responsibilities
- Review and respond to customer inquiries submitted by email regarding claims initiations and general coverage questions.
- Provide best-in-class service experience to all customers – internal and external.
- Respond to email and phone inquiries from contract holders, dealerships, and repair facilities.
- Build claims in our Claims portal based on submitted emails, upload pictures or invoices, and notify adjusters of actions taken.
- Prepare claims for review by an Adjuster for approval.
- Provide insights into possible department and product enhancements.
- Seek opportunities for process improvements.
- Assist in building SOPs based on process improvements.
- Participate in various projects as required by management.
- Manage case load for prompt follow-ups on pending claims.
- Stay current on new products.
- Liaise with multiple departments to ensure customer and dealer satisfaction.
- Perform any other duties deemed appropriate by the Claims Manager.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 2 years in a customer service environment or equivalent experience.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently within given parameters with minimal oversight.
- Typing speed of at least 25-30 WPM.
- Familiarity with web-based programs and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
- Positive attitude and strong collaboration skills.
- Availability to work from 9 am PST to 5 pm PST.
- Completion of Automotive Technician certification course or equivalent experience in the automotive field.
- Strong mechanical knowledge (preferred).
