A pioneering digital technology company in Canada is seeking a technical leader to manage its Platform and Infrastructure team. The role requires deep technical knowledge and experience in managing engineering teams. Candidates must be based in the Toronto area or willing to relocate by January. Responsibilities include ensuring alignment between product goals and execution while engaging in technical discussions. The ideal candidate balances context, communication, and execution to drive team performance.
We’re reimagining what’s possible for high-performance, interactive experiences on the web. Our technology bridges the gap between native-quality performance and instant browser-based access, enabling new kinds of digital products that combine the best of mobile and web.
Although the specific title is TBD (placeholder being our CTO of Platform), we’re looking for someone to bring alignment, focus, and operational clarity across our technical organization. You’ll manage a core Platform and Infrastructure team, help connect efforts across engineering groups, and ensure smooth coordination between product goals and technical execution.
This is a leadership position for someone who operates with both technical and organizational depth. You’ll work closely with the CEO and senior engineers to plan, prioritize, and deliver effectively across teams. You should be comfortable engaging in technical discussions, understanding trade-offs, and helping engineering teams navigate complex decisions. The ideal candidate can balance context, communication, and execution to keep the organization aligned and moving quickly.
It is important that this candidate is both highly technical (don’t necessarily need to have been in a hands-on-keyboard role recently, but you should be extremely comfortable going very deep on a broad range of technical matters) and has experience managing an engineering team and capable of interfacing with executives. This role will primarily interface with our Platform, Frontend, and Infrastructure team, but it’s also valuable for them to speak the language of our core technology (systems + low-level graphics) team.
