An educational institution in Nova Scotia is seeking a Casual School Secretary who will provide administrative and reception support to schools. The ideal candidate will have a secretarial training diploma and be proficient in office software, including Microsoft Office and Google Apps. Responsibilities include answering calls, preparing correspondence, managing funds, and handling inquiries. Commitment to diverse and inclusive hiring practices is essential. This is a casual position with pay of $31.48 per hour.
Cape Breton-Victoria Regional Centre for Education is responsible for the administration of the public school system within the boundaries of Cape Breton and Victoria Counties, supporting approximately 12,000 students in 38 schools.

WORK TERM: Casual on‑call basis
LOCATION: Various schools North of Smokey within the Cape Breton Victoria Regional Centre for Education.
RATE OF PAY: $31.48 per hour
A competency test will be required for all applicants.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Principal or Principal's Designate of school of employment
ROLE: To provide reception, secretarial and accounting services to schools
