The UGDSB employs a team of approximately 4,000 dedicated staff who serve more than 35,000 students attending a variety of programs across 65 elementary and 11 secondary schools as well as continuing education and adult learning centres in the counties of Dufferin, Wellington, and the City of Guelph. The UGDSB is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as Casual Early Childhood Educator (ECE). This opening is specifically for a position on our ECE Supply List. This is a 10-month position (September to June) to start as soon as possible.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing temporary and/or short-term coverage for ECE employee absences on an as-needed basis in both elementary and secondary English and French Immersion Programs.
Location:
All geographical areas of the Board including North Wellington, Centre Wellington, East Wellington, Guelph, Orangeville, Dufferin County and Shelburne; however Casual Supply EAs may select specified areas in which they would like to work.
Hours of work/FTE
As this is a casual position, there is no guaranteed number of hours per week. However, a casual employee with full availability could work full-time (1.0 FTE; 32.5 hours per week) depending on need.
As a member of the ECE Supply List, you will have the opportunity to apply for vacant permanent or temporary positions as they arise, with possible consideration over external applicants.
Rate of Pay / Salary Range:
$30.92 per hour; wage rate effective September 1, 2025, plus applicable vacation pay, in accordance with Employment Standards Act
Board Information:
10 months; ESSP-DECE Union
Reporting to the Principal, the ECE will be part of the Early Learning team.
