Job summary

Une entreprise leader des services de menuiserie recherche un menuisier qualifié pour des projets de rénovation à Ottawa. Le candidat idéal aura au moins 5 ans d'expérience, des compétences en représentation des plans et une attention rigoureuse aux détails. Les tâches incluent l'installation de cloisons sèches et la finition de menuiserie. Le poste nécessite également d'excellentes compétences en communication pour collaborer efficacement avec les clients et les autres corps de métier.

Qualifications

• Minimum de 5 ans d'expérience en menuiserie, en particulier dans la rénovation.

Job description

• Install and repair wood structures, including framing, flooring, doors, windows, and trim
• Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials to specified dimension
• Build and install drywall framing, paneling, and other drywall-related work
• Perform detailed finish carpentry, including crown molding, baseboards, and other decorative woodwork
• Ensure all carpentry work complies with building codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other trades to ensure smooth project flow
• Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide professional recommendations
• Maintain a clean, organized worksite and ensure tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained
• Troubleshoot and solve problems related to carpentry and renovation projects
• Adhere to project timelines and budgets to ensure timely completion of renovations

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in carpentry, particularly in renovation and remodeling projects
• Proficient in the use of carpentry tools, machinery, and techniques
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans
• Experience with framing, drywall, finish carpentry, and custom woodworking
• High attention to detail and craftsmanship with a focus on quality
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Good physical stamina and ability to handle manual tasks, including lifting heavy materials
• Strong communication skills and professionalism when interacting with clients and team members
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
