A leading retail company in Swift Current is looking for a Store Manager to oversee store operations, drive sales, and ensure outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate will establish effective operational plans, manage safety standards, and engage with the community to enhance store presence. Position Summary: To support the Store Manager and manage store operations according to Company guidelines, leading Associates to ensure friendly, helpful service and drive profitable store sales.
Drive profitable sales through achievement of sales and profit goals, budget management, and sales forecasts. Analyze sales/financial reports, economic trends, and community needs to respond to market changes while controlling expenditures. Communicate sales results to associates and guide interpretation of results.
Create operational plans with the Management Team; prioritize, delegate, and provide clear direction to Managers and Associates. Ensure optimal store conditions through effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, and adherence to store standards within Company policies. Implement new store programs and evaluate their effectiveness. Cross-train as needed to work proficiently in all store areas.
Execute and monitor asset protection and safety controls; maintain quality assurance standards; oversee safety and operational reviews; ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including safety, security, and financial practices. Address compliance issues proactively.
Serve as an ambassador for the store by greeting customers, seeking feedback, and resolving customer issues within Company guidelines to ensure a positive shopping experience. Model and enforce friendly and helpful customer service techniques.
Support community initiatives by participating in events and developing relationships with community groups. Engage in company-sponsored programs and sustainability efforts to strengthen the store's role in the community.
Lead Associates through regular meetings, communicate operational initiatives, and foster engagement. Recognize achievements and provide professional development opportunities. Identify and train high-potential employees.
Demonstrate Company values by providing timely, honest, and respectful performance feedback. Manage relationships with supporting functions like HR.
Ensure compliance with all standards and procedures in handling merchandise, including sensitive items such as alcohol, ammunition, narcotics, and high-ticket items. Manage cash controls handling up to two hundred and fifty thousand dollars daily.
