Qualifications

Job description

We are currently seeking Software LicensingLawyers to work with some of the world’s largest tech companies. This is an exciting opportunity to tackle complex legal challenges on a global scale.

Responsibilities
  • Provide practical legal advice and support on international business matters in a fast-paced environment.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex technology agreements, including SaaS, software licensing, cloud services, data processing, and API integration contracts.
  • Advise business and product teams on legal issues related to technology development, data usage, cybersecurity, and intellectual property ownership.
  • Support procurement and vendor management by assessing contract risk, ensuring regulatory and data privacy compliance, and maintaining consistent commercial terms.
  • Develop and maintain standard contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation strategies to streamline deal execution and ensure alignment with corporate policy.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on software licensing, SaaS, cloud services, and technology transactions.
  • Strong understanding of intellectual property, data privacy (PIPEDA), and commercial contract principles.
  • Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
