Business System Analyst – Overview

You are highly analytical, effortlessly steering through team collaboration, evaluation procedures, and communication strategies. You are an active learner, influence change, and have a keen tolerance for ambiguity. Committed to tasks, policies & procedures, you not only ensure precision but also contribute significantly to the success of all initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide key support in the sustainment, optimization, and enhancement of Canfor's US and Canadian time capture and scheduling systems (UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM)), including configuration, implementation, and technical/process support.
  • Serve as a primary liaison among business, IT, and vendor stakeholders to gather requirements, manage support tickets, coordinate change control and release management, and ensure timely completion of initiatives and projects.
  • Develop, execute, and document comprehensive test plans for system changes, upgrades or implementations, including unit, system, and user acceptance testing.
  • Facilitate process mapping, root cause analysis, and the development of recommendations and project deliverables (e.g., current/future state analysis, process documentation, business enablement plans).
  • Support business teams in developing and rolling out related processes, policies, and training to drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate project activities, including project management support, communication, and organization of workshops and meetings.
  • Prepare and deliver project materials, metrics, and KPIs to support business objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
  • University degree in business, technology, or a related field, with a focus on digital transformation and continuous improvement.
  • 2‑4 years' experience with UKG Time Systems (UKG Pro Workforce Management—Dimensions, Workforce Central) in configuration, implementation, and support, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • Experience supporting interfaces to and from UKG systems; familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors ECP/EC, Dell Boomi, or similar middleware is an asset.
  • Hands‑on experience with timekeeping and scheduling configuration, integration management, API/SFTP, reporting/dataviews, accruals, and UKG Activities module.
  • Experience with PGP encryption, time clocks, biometrics, and basic networking/VNC.
  • Background in management or digital transformation consulting, and project management or business analysis certifications are assets.
Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $70,000.00–$100,000.00, based upon experience level.
