A leading Data Solutions Company is seeking a Business Data Analyst in Toronto, Canada. This hybrid role involves analyzing data requirements, supporting data pipeline processes, and building Power BI dashboards. Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in data analysis, strong skills in SQL, hands-on expertise with Power BI, and familiarity with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud. Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in data analysis, data modeling or business analysis.
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI including data modeling, DAX, dashboards, and reporting.
  • 3+ years of experience with Salesforce FSC.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL, data pipelines, and metadata management.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, document, and translate data requirements into detailed specifications.
  • Perform detailed data analysis to troubleshoot issues and support data pipeline processes.
  • Support data migration activities, including documentation of cleansing rules.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Conduct gap analysis and propose solutions for complex data issues.
  • Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and data engineering.
  • Provide functional support for Salesforce FSC.

Business Data Analyst

Location Address: 40 Temperance Street 15th Floor – hybrid – 4 days onsite/week

Contract Duration: ASAP – 10/30/2026

Possibility of extension and conversion to FTE

Schedule Hours: 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week (Possible OT)

Typical Day in Role:
  • Analyze, document, and translate data requirements into detailed specifications, including source to target mappings, transformation rules, and data quality checks.
  • Perform detailed data analysis to troubleshoot issues and support data pipeline processes.
  • Support data migration activities, including documentation of cleansing rules and validation of end to end test results.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models to support business reporting needs.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements; translate them into functional and technical specifications.
  • Develop BRDs, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications for data and technology initiatives.
  • Conduct gap analysis, identify risks, and propose solutions for complex data and business problems.
  • Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case design, execution, and defect resolution.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and data engineering to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Provide functional support for Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC), including data structures, objects, and workflows.
  • Build and optimize Salesforce reports and dashboards. Investigate and resolve Salesforce data and process issues with business and technical teams.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
  1. 10+ years of experience in data analysis, data modeling or business analysis (Strong documentation skills for both business and technical requirements)
  2. 5+ years of experience with SQL
  3. Hands‑on experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dashboards, reporting)
  4. 3+ years of experience with Salesforce FSC, especially reporting and data model understanding.
  5. Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL, data pipelines, and metadata management
  6. Bilingual in Spanish
