Overview
Position: Business Analyst / Scrum Master (Document Management Systems)
Client: Provincial Government
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 Months initial (option to extend for an additional 6 months)
Language: English
Background: Our public sector client requires an intermediate Scrum Master / Business Analyst with document management systems experience to assist them with decommissioning several management systems, which will be integrating into it's existing solutions. The project will encompass reassessing the legacy systems functionality and full integration to existing module. This will also require changes to the existing Support Team Operating Model.
Qualifications
- 2+ Years as a Scrum Master
- 5+ Years as a Business Analyst, supporting information systems
- 3+ Years of experience involve scanning and document management solutions that integrate with existing IT systems, such as ConsignO, OpenText Content Manager, and/or similar solutions
- 3+ Years of experience within public sector environment
- Experience working as a Business Analyst with COTS solutions
Expected Tasks
- Scrum Master role:
- Initiation to include creating project vision and identifying stakeholders.
- With support of other project Scrum Master(s) create/maintain the product backlog and participate in release planning.
- Planning and estimating work items including user stories, tasks, sprint backlog, etc.
- Participating in routine Scrum meetings such as Sprint Planning, Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Regular status updates to other project Scrum Master(s) and the Steering Committee.
- Implementation of the scanning and document management solution that integrates with the existing COTS solution, including creating various project deliverables and participating in the rollout to production.
- Business Analyst role:
- Analysing the scanning and document management options currently identified as well as other potential options used both internally and externally.
- Gathering Requirements
- Identifying issues and risks
- Implementation support of the solution that integrates with the existing COTS solution.
- Working with the Change Manager/Trainer to production of how to documents, SOPs and other supporting documents to be used by the Maintenance and Support Team.
- Participating in User Acceptance Testing
- Conducting other Business Analyst tasks as required
