COLLABORATE AND SOLVE PROBLEMS– IT’S WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Creatively solve problems – You will work closely with the business to understand our customers’ needs and objectives and translate business requirements into specifications that can be consumed by the Development team.
  • Work with a team – Engage and collaborate with Delivery team to determine and propose feasible technical solutions. Collaborate with PM, UI/UX, DEV, QA, stakeholders, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to resolve issues and ensure solutions are viable and consistent (technologically, functionally reasonable, and can be delivered within desired time frame)
  • Prioritize work – Collaborating with Product Management, Development teams, and other Stakeholders, you will define, groom and manage the sprint backlog - identifying and analyzing priorities, dependencies, risk, assumptions, constraints, time to market, and other potential considerations.
  • Stakeholder communication – You will articulate business problems and solutions with a variety of audiences, including business, technical and leadership/management, with style fitting for the audience and message being delivered and be a liaison between IT department and the business, delivering recommendations to stakeholders.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Degree/Diploma in a related discipline (business administration, computer science, or information systems, etc.) or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 3+ years Business Analysis experience in an IT setting and/or practical experience in the Payroll or HCM industry.
  • Experience with SaaS product development.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written), influencing, negotiation, and engagement skills with the ability to demonstrate these skills at all levels of the business.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with ability to self-direct and work independently.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based, responsive design, and mobile app solutions.
  • Proven experience in business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development in an IT setting.
  • Experience with Agile methodology and Scrum framework.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams – assist with the strategizing, prioritizing, and recommending creative solutions.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian products such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience with project coordination/facilitation and/or project management.
  • Familiarity with collaborative tools – e.g., Slack, Figma, Zoom.
  • Proven competency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
BONUS SKILL SET
  • Experience managing substantial, cross-departmental projects and working with outside developers, vendors and consultants would be considered an asset
  • Familiarity with solutions and/or processes as they relate to the workforce management space (including Canadian payroll, human resources, time and absence management) would be considered an asset.
