Building Caretaker

Location: Moncton, NB. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will provide basic maintenance and general upkeep to Northview property grounds and buildings, depicting the pride of ownership and respect for our residents and delivering on our promise to residents to provide a safe and clean home in which to live. This position requires someone who is passionate about providing a safe and clean place for residents to call home.

Responsibilities
  • Clean all common areas including entrance and exits, and ensure walkways are clear
  • Vacuum/wash floors, elevators, hallways, stairs, windows and common rooms
  • Maintain the grounds, including landscaped areas, sidewalks, and parking lots
  • Perform seasonal duties as required (gardening, mowing, weeding, snow removal, and salting)
  • Assist with minor maintenance as needed
  • Respond to all resident questions, concerns, and complaints in a timely manner
  • Focus on customer service and resident retention
  • Other related duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications
  • Prior experience with building maintenance, janitorial, or groundskeeping in either commercial or residential properties would be an asset
  • Able to work independently, is a self-starter, and takes pride in a job well done
  • Proven ability to work productively and safely while under pressure
  • Good customer service skills and pleasant demeanor
  • Ability to speak and write English fluently
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Able to provide a criminal record check free of relevant convictions
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driver abstract
  • Flexible schedule, able to work on call and weekends as needed
