  • Manage Structure, Civil and Facilitates Assets on Operational and Non Operational Lines.
  • Review and approve engineering designs as required.
  • Investigate infrastructure irregularities related to structures.
  • Ensure the asset performance and resilience of the CRN assets.
  • Review OSOM applications on the CRN.

Job Purpose

This is a key role in the Asset & Engineering team and reports to the Principal Track/Civil Engineer for the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Country Regional Network (CRN) contract.

The role holds engineering authority for all CRN Structure, Civil and Facilitates assets and Operational engineering manuals to ensure all legislative, safety, design, technology, operations, maintenance, sustainability and other all relevant engineering requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Structure, Civil and Facilitates Assets on Operational and Non Operational Lines
  • Review and Endorse Operational Engineering Manuals, Technical Note and Forms
  • Review and Endorse to Operational Engineering Manuals, Technical Note and Forms
  • Issue of engineering waivers against Operational Engineering Manuals
  • Review and accept engineering designs as required.
  • Investigate infrastructure irregularities such as ONRSR category A&Bs related to structures
  • Facilitate change to Engineering Standards managed by TfNSW
  • Providing Engineering advice to the annual submission of the asset management plans (50AMP, 10MSP and 3MWP) and condition reports and configuration change process.
  • Review and approval all 3rd Party applications as required
  • Ensure the asset performance, resilience and condition of the CRN assets are maintained to deliver the long-term asset outcomes such as for the client within contract requirements.
  • Review and Endorse all Over Size Over Mass (OSOM) applications on the CRN.
  • Review and Report of the engineering impacts from Train Operating Condition (TOC) waiver applications on the CRN.
  • Manage assets in accordance with legislative Heritage requirements.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrate and work towards competency requirements of CRN CM 001
  • Degree or Diploma in an Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5+ years business operational experience within an operations and maintenance /resources industries.
  • Sound understanding of Asset Management and Systems Assurance standards.
