  • Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and prepare trial balances
  • Maintain general ledgers and assist with the preparation of financial statements
  • Process payroll and prepare cheques for utilities, taxes, and other expenses
  • Complete and file government remittances (GST/HST, WCB, CPP, EI)
  • Assist with year-end preparation and internal financial reporting
  • Support the General Manager in preparing documentation for import/export, CFIA, CBSA (CARM), and business registrations
  • Help standardize procedures across affiliated businesses under common ownership
  • Provide administrative support for other finance-related projects

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completion of secondary school is required
  • Completion of a college diploma in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field, OR

Several years of relevant experience with bookkeeping coursework

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and Canadian payroll standards
  • Ability to work independently with high attention to detail
  • Experience in a regulated or export-focused environment is considered an asset
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
